Stumpytail quickly padded through the jungle, sliping and sliding before he found himself next to the big fluffy primal. He circled him before beginning to push and shove him

"Atticus, Atticus, wake up! I have some great news! Gai'a is going to walk, and the hunters have discovered new fishing spots!" Stumpytail exclaimed, his words coming out in rapid-fire excitement.


Atticus smiled, his mouth curling up at the corners. "Slow down, Stumpytail, what's all this excitement about?"


Stumpytail paused to catch his breath, "Mai'a has given birth to a cub this morning! Come, come she wants to see you!"

Atticus smiles and quickly stands up and follows the cub through the jungle towards the Dynasty. He ducked over a branch and went to where the sun touched the peak. There Mai'a was. Laying against the sky with the sun dancing across her pelt.

Mai'a lifted her head and Atticus licked her

"Hello brother"

She spoke quietly, in order to not wake up her single newborn.

Mai'a's now full grown cubs were laying nearby, all watching the newborn excitedly.

Mai'a smiled, seeing Atticus's impatience and moved her head so he can see the tiny golden cub nestled against her stomach.

Atticus wagged his tail, lowering his face to the small baby. But he frowned when he saw its ears. They were folded in. Like a pigs.

He turned and looked at Mai'a concerned and she stifled a laugh,

"Shes alright Atticus. The healers already took a look. Shes just special."

Atticus smiled once more,

"That she is.. What is her name?"

Mai'a looked at the sun settled in between two clouds and smiled,

"Keiba"

"The rising sun"
