Chester

On a rainy day sat a pregnant lioness in a den. She was Ababi, and the time had come. Soon, just one cub was born. He had a chestnut fur color and squabble markings. For that, she named him Chester. He had no lethal defects, but there was one problem. He was much smaller and more fragile than most cubs and was prone to freezing to death if Ababi left him for even just a few minutes. Ababi doubted his survival but stayed up for days to ensure his safety, determined to do whatever it took for her only son to live. His constant cries and squeaks could be heard throughout the den.

When he was 10 days old, his fur had thickened and he was nearly as big as a regular cub. Ababi knew this was a good sign, but she had no pride to show him off to. Ababi was an exiled lioness, adopted daughter of King Kwizera.

By the 4 week mark, he began to communicate. He was disciplined, taught manners and obedience, but above all else, respect.

As the weeks went on, Chester would have trouble with running and hunting. He would often stumble and fall. Ababi would often yell at him for being clumsy, but it wasn't his fault. It was his size. She figured that out and corrected herself and tried to help him with his clumsiness.

Now, he is 1 years old. He has a pink mane with gorgeous sunset-like highlights going down it. He is humble, kind, and doesn't like to fight. He is a pacifist, and his goal is to become a kind king of the Sahra. One day. Ababi wanted to say something about his goal with his current behavior, but she wanted to see if he would change.

WOW AT THE AGE OF 3 YEARS AND 1 MONTH HE BECAME A KING! Just not a king of the Sahra. His goals changed.
