BIRCH AND NIGHT DECIDE TO ADOPT AUTUMN
Birch's Wind playfully nudges the cub. "Eat your fill, Early Snow In Autumn! This has got to be better than the food at the Giving Tree."
Autumn gazed up at him, purred "Call me Autumn!" and then jumped at the Kudu Carcass. Nightly Cheetah approached them and her eyes lit up at the sight of the cub. "If this isn't better than the food you've eaten before, we sure failed at hunting!" She chuckled.
Night and Birch sat down and looked at Autumn. They turn their heads look at each other at the exact same moment, as if they knew exactly what to do. The two of them nodded to each other and gazed upon the pride, hoping the others would welcome the new, energetic cub with the same warmth.

AUTUMN ON THE WAY TO CUB TRAINING FOR THE FIRST TIME
"But I want to wrestle!"
Autumn and Birch were trotting towards the training grounds with the other cubs with them.
"I'm sorry, but today is climbing day, Autumn." Birch said. "Wrestling is next time. You'll have to wait, like the others. Climbing is crucial becau-"
"But I WANT TO WRESTLE!! I can fight off hyenas! Wrestle the Plains Monster! Even poachers!" Autumn exclaimed as she pretended to fight invisible enemies.
Birch shook his head. "The Plains Monster isn't real, Autumn, it can't hurt you. Did you listen too much to Snowbird's halloween stories?"
"But dad, Dark Sneak and Clay swore they saw it, too! Not just her!"
Birch, a bit amused now, shook his head.
"You should need to use critical thinking when listening to the adolescents... And definetly when listening to Paws Of Clay"
Autumn's tone showed she still wasn't convinced. "Buut... when Koda sectretly sneaked out of camp and followed mom on a hunting mission, she came home breathing heavily, telling me she'd seen it! And that it was the most horrifying thing she'd ever looked at!"
"Autumn, that was a human. That's why we never let Koda out of sight again, it could have hurt her!"
".... I still wanna wrestle, dad!!"
Birch shook his head and sighed, yet again. "Sweetie, you see......"
The sun peacefully shone on the plains as they continued their way to the training grounds. The cubs behind them squealed and played excitedly.

Nightly Cheetah and Early Snow In Autumn were just padding out of camp.
