Baring the hues of the night sky in her pelt and eyes like stars, Calypso was bartered away to the acacia as a cub. She was quickly brought into the cave, recognized as a daughter of the stars, and treated with kindness and respect. Calypso soon began ornamenting her back with beautiful star-speckled wings, which she constantly preens. With delicate eyes and skin, Calypso was quick to grow accustomed to a nocturnal lifestyle that kept her out of the sun. Her pride was in awe of her beauty as she grew— this was a true daughter of the Merciful Sky.
In the night, Calypso eagerly maps the stars, and builds her recognition little by little. She often takes walks in the night, traveling by the stars' guidance, always following them to make her way home.

In the presence of any wandering strangers, Calypso is hesitant and reserved. She would rather study strangers from afar and approach them to converse once she's made sure they are to be trusted. You're more likely to see her silhouette far into the horizon than you are to meet her face-to-face.
