GAME TIDBITS
0 months.
Although there is nothing visibly different about Cub, it isn't long before your lioness notices that they do not respond to calls like the other cubs.
2 months.
π Laqueta π [DEAF] gets a liiiiittle too close to your muzzle for comfort, so you give a warning snarl and she scurries away, no doubt to annoy another pride member.
4 months.
A stalking poacher would have put a quick end to π Laqueta π [DEAF], were it not for the hunter's poor ability to aim.
1 year, 1 month,
You notice π Laqueta π [DEAF] delicately sniffing at flowers that are surrounding your den. They've decided to stick close to home today, unwilling to get in the way of any pride members. When they notice you're watching, they smile and greet you with an odd-sounding meow.

LORE/STORIES
The Bird
Laqueta wasn't like the other cubs. She didn't hear her mother call out for her when it was time to come back to the den after a day's explorations; the only way she knew to come back was the sight of other cubs, trotting back to their mothers. And because of this, Laqueta had a hard time making friends. I can assure you, many potential buddies turned up, tails high and eyes sparkling, but Laqueta never seemed to hear them, no matter how loud they mewed. Eventually, the other cubs had learned to stay away from Laqueta. After all, she couldn't hear, so she wasn't much fun to play with. Then came the bird. Laqueta had been stumbling along, mewing a happy little tune to herself, that only she, in her mind, could hear when a shadow passed overhead. The other cubs yowled in fright and began to run back to the den, but Laqueta stayed, oblivious to the potential danger. And then it landed. Right in front of the little cub. Laqueta and the bird took turns mewing and chirping to each other, exchanging playful growls and loud squawks. But at the end of the day, they had made good friends, so good that the bird almost never left the little cub's side.
