Cosmo was sent to
Anza's pride as a gift. At first the king wasn't sure if he'll keep the cub, but when he realized that she may help
Lotus recover from depression after losing her own litter he decided to let Cosmo stay.
Lotus took her in with no hesitation. She cared for the cub as if it was her own, and Cosmo didn't even knew that Lotus isn't her real mother until she accidentaly discovered it when she grew up...
Adoption is a common thing in Anza's pride. He's often bringing abandoned, orphaned or homeless cubs to the pride, but Cosmo was the only one that wasn't told about her adoption. She was so close with Lotus that no one wanted to potentially ruin their relationship... The lioness that ended up telling her the truth said it on accident.
Cosmo tried to ignore this new fact about herself. Lotus is her mother, it doesn't matter if they are related or not, right?
But she couldn't look at Lotus the same... She still loved her very much, but whenever she saw her, she could only think about how she isn't really Lotus's daughter. She also realized that she's often thinking about her biological parents. Why did they gave her away? Would they like her? Is she similar to her mother? Or maybe she got more from her father?
She's trying to don't think about it, but she just can't control it.
Cosmo accepted it all eventually, but it left a scar inside her.
When she began her training she befriended an introverted lioness named
Morning Glory. Cosmo never saw her train or talk with others, so she decided to take care of her lonely pridemate. They had some fun together, but Glory never wanted to spend time with others, only Cosmo. Cosmo knew that her friend was just scared of being judged by other young lions, but she had to meet them eventually. They were all members of the same pride, they were almost like a family!
Cosmo did her best, and in the end Glory actually managed to befriend other lions in the pride. She seemed to especially enjoy spending time with
Precious, and when Cosmo asked her about it she admitted that she might have a little crush on her pridemate. Cosmo couldn't be happier for her friend!
She was later asked to lead The Morning Stars with Morning Glory. Cosmo was hesistant at first, but she agreed for the sake of her introverted friend.
They were leaders together for a long time, but when Morning Glory got promoted as the new Hunting Master, Cosmo was left to lead The Morning Stars alone.
Cosmo passed away due to an infection after she broke her leg.
