"And if I've lost my charm, apologies due, no harm, 'cause you've got a hold of my heart."

- LORE -
". . . What-- What is this?" The immortal murmured quietly, brows furrowed as the leopon approached, cub dangling from his maw. He laid the cub at the other's paws, lifting his head to look this king in the eyes. They stared at each other for what felt like eternity before the king spoke again. "Yolotzin? You have some explaining to do, snowflake."
"This is your son, Aodhan. This is why I have not visited you in a while-- if you even noticed my absence, that is." Yolotzin huffed, sitting down in front of the cub, who now curiously looked up at Aodhan with wide, enamored eyes. It mewed at him-- and whatever Aodhan felt before melted away with the way the scrap of fur pawed at him in an attempt to explore the sparkling fur.
"Of course I have noticed your absence." Aodhan spoke, leaning down to nuzzle his son. "He's. . . He's wonderful, my dear. Aurelius will love him, just as I do. Have you decided a name for the prince?"
"Prince! Well, I certainly didn't expect you to give him such a title. No, I haven't."

Aodhan hummed, looking up at his mate. "Hmm. Let's name him. . . Baldur."

Baldur grew, and grew, and grew. Nearly as large as his father, and just as intimidating. The Prince of Ice and Snow. Something was different about this son of Aodhan, the way his eyes glimmered like light hitting fresh fallen snow, how his muscles shifted beneath his dull yet enticing pelt. He was truly unique like his fathers-- a true snowflake among the mortals of his father's pride. He had the choice between Yolotzin's fathers, and his father, and of course he chose the snowy mountains as his home. Baldur became a living legend-- many thought the leopon didn't even exist. A tale that was told far a wide, of how he brings snowstorms into the open savannah, just for fun. . . and if you asked him about it, he'd simply flash his teeth in a grin and neither confirm nor deny.
