Sparkstep

A prideless wanderer with a soft spot the size of the Prideless Stretch for cubs of any kind, Sparkstep has zero desire to take over a pride due to said soft spot as it would require him to kill any of the previous king’s offspring. In fact, he hangs around close to the territorial borders not just because the Stretch is less barren there, but also to protect any cubs that might be lost, pursued, caught up in natural disasters, or otherwise in need of aid, earning him an odd sort of reputation with the prides in the area. As for why his name is SparkSTEP when a male lion isn’t complete without a pride of his own and the mane suffix that comes with it? Well, it’s him saying that he IS complete, thank you very much. Complete and content with the life he’s chosen for himself.
