Havenfield

Lying on the ground with a displeased grimace, Havenfield notices you and turns her head, watching the horizon now.

Havenfield glares at you as you approach, but she does not swat you as you groom her head. Instead, she perches elegantly, making it clear that you can only do this because she is allowing it.

Havenfield was born and raised as royalty. Her brothers and sisters weren't as loved as her, but her father Apate and her mother Enyo made sure all of the cubs were loved. When she was still a cub, she came across a fallen nest with one chick still inside. It seemed as if the others had died but the hatchling had still been in his egg.

Thinking it was dead, Haven brought it back to her mother as a trophy, but Enyo realized that the small bird was still alive. She immediately enlisted the help of Honeyclaw, one of Apate's sisters, who had a talent with small creatures. She nursed the bird until it opened its eyes, and then was given to Havenfield as a pet.

"What are you going to name him, love?" Enyo asked. "Fang. Its name is Fang." Haven had said. From then on, Fang became utterly loyal to Havenfield and was trusted with keeping her safe. He learned the lion tongue from Rascal, who was Apate's pet eagle.

As they grew up, Fang became more and more protective over Havenfield. He respected her privacy and when she went out alone, he flew up above her, but high enough so that she was comfortable. Whenever she was in trouble, he could swoop down and take out a few eyes and scratch some muzzles. This earned him the immortal wish, which could only be granted by Evelyn, the high priestess of Anubis.

And so, he continued to stay by Havenfield's side and protect her and her cubs.
