Most submales huff about not getting the right to mate. Some deal with this by mating with lionesses behind the main male's back, others deal with it by trying to usurp the throne of the king of the pride. Either way, this often leads to a lot of conflict and fights between male pride members, whether it's between the submale or the dominant male, submales and other submales... but Warrick? He merely scoffs. He has no interest in mating, and simply doesn't want to engage in that whole ordeal, whether lion or lioness. He patrols, he teaches the male cubs how to patrol, and most of all he gets to see his family grow without any of that nasty business. To him, the submale life suits him just fine.
