Mending

Former Daughter of Transmutation and Shifter Huntress of The Tower, led by Protection from Evil and Good.

When he expressed his wish to leave his father's pride and make his own, Mending jumped at the chance to join him, citing that he'll need a formable hunter to help train any lions who later join his pride. Despite his slight hesitance, Beast allowed her to come with him. She was right, after all, he would need trained hunters, but also she had hunted with the Shifters - Mending would know how to deal with the wild beasts and other creature that he was so curious about interacting with.

With Mending's help, Beast was able to ignite the bond between lion and creature, a link between the two [or more] souls that ran deeper than any other relationship known to them; it was almost... unnatural, except that all it seemed to be was natural, as there was no other explanation for the bond.

It came to no surprise when she quickly found her soul-bond, what the two began calling this phenomenon, in a cape cobra named Snare. She allowed herself and Snare to be studied, leaning the different ways the bond could be used, including a communication link that seemed to appear between them, despite neither speaking each other's language.

There were new barriers to discover, and Mending intended to break them.

One of those breaks appeared not long after Doubloon Wave-rider returned to the Grove with two soul-bonds. Determined to figure out how it occurred, Mending took Snare with her out of the territory to see if she could learn more about a dual-bond. When they returned, she brought with her a second cape cobra named Suffocate. Mending shared with Dominate Beast that the bond wasn't as strong as the one with Snare, at least not at first. The second bond she had needed to be carefully cultivated. Not to say that it wasn't natural, she assured him when he looked at her warily, just that it seemed that the bond that was the strongest was the one that sought them out.

Mending has become silently curious as to what would happen if a soul-bonded animal died...
