Doubloon Wave-rider

Beast found Doubloon wandering alone when he was just a cub and immediately brought him home for Redwood Lullaby to check over. She confirmed that he was healthy, overall, but that his growth might be stunted a bit due to some malnutrition. It didn't seem to be on purpose, she'd said, just the consequence of being left alone at such a young age.

Determined to see this cub healthy, Beast took to caring for him personally. It was a bit challenging, at first, as he'd never even handled a cub before, but with Redwood Lullaby's help he was able to raise Doubloon to adolescence. Knowing that he didn't have the time nor someone to help train him in the duties of a sub-male, Beast sent his adopted son to be mentored by his father's pride in the Tower.

There, Doubloon thrived under the tutelage, taking a strange fascination with water in the meantime. By the time he completed his training and rejoined the Grove, Doubloon had taken on the second name 'Wave-rider' and was joined by a little bird friend named Jolly. A few days after he'd come back, he returned one day after patrol with a tiny fiddler crab clutched to his tail. It seemed that Doubloon's soul-bond went beyond the sky and truly had made the water its home as well, if Patchy was anything to go by.
