Nekbet's birth wasn't much different from her older sister's. She was brought one day into the pride by Ushabti, her mother, and left under the care of the Nursers. However, as she grew up a few things became apparent. One, she wasn't just a regular cub, and two she had a lot of compassion for every living creature. In her adolescent years, she developed a pair of golden wings on which she could fly, although only for short distances. Her empath allowed her to see cracks in the pride, mainly from their leader, Astraea. The King did not trust anyone and seemed damaged. Upon further observation, she began to pity her and decided to help her in any way she could. At first, Astraea dismissed Nekbet, not willing to even talk to her. But as time went on, she grew to like the younger lioness. Eventually, their bond grew so strong that Astraea began trusting Nekbet, and the Huntress was able to convince the King to finally let go of her hatred and anger. She made her believe in mortals once more.

As stated before, Nekbet is a very empathetic and compassionate lioness. She can understand other lions on a deeper level than most. It isn't hard for her to figure out what they are feeling and how to approach them based on their behavior. She keeps the good of others before her own, which at times can cause her problems, but as long as she can do some good she doesn't mind.
