Byeol

Detailed:

Byeol was used to being alone.

Her mother had been unfaithful, and when the king found out, she was exiled from her Pride. Cold and alone, the young lioness birthed just one cub, Byeol.

And so for a while, it was just Byeol and her mother. However, her mother struggled to provide for her cub. She wasn’t used to hunting alone, and often went without meals to feed Byeol. When Byeol was about 6 months old, her mother became sick, forcing Byeol to step up early and teach herself how to hunt and provide. Sadly, two months later her mother passed away, leaving Byeol on her own.

Alone, Byeol became a strong hunter. As she grew older and more experienced, she often hunted with other loners, but preferred her own company and never stuck too long with a group.

Byeol met Soare when he was a young male, about a year and a half, just chased away from his father’s Pride. She found she enjoyed his goofy sense of humor and the way his mane warmed her body when they slept. She liked the way he took care of her like she had never been taken care of before. After around 6 months of being together, she realized she didn’t just like being with him, she was in love with him.

When Soare told her he wanted to start a Pride of his own, she surprised even herself when she told him she wanted to be a part of it.

Byeol was used to being alone, but she wasn’t anymore. She was part of a Pride. Soare’s pride. And she loved it. She loved him.
