Flint Fall, her twin sister Shattered Stone, and their mother Dusk River had been driven from their home pride. They found solace with Bubbling Creek's clan, but the small family's peace would be short-lived. As the twins grew older, they grew apart. Shattered Stone dreamed of seeing what the pridelands had to offer, but Flint Fall argued that staying in one spot was safer.
As the rift between the twins grew, Dusk River's weariness increased. The day before the twins' adolescent crowning ceremony, she slipped away during the night to a neighboring pride. The twins never saw her again. Their mother's willful abandonment furthered the sisters' conflict. Flint Fall was now even more convinced that staying together and in one place was better. Shattered Stone disagreed, and in an act of defiance, joined another pride. Flint Fall was left alone, abandoned, and isolated in a clan of mild Forest lions. Her sense of betrayal and anger only grew as she aged; her sharp attitude and grayscale pelt made getting along and blending in with the Forest lions difficult.
Flint Fall's adolescent days in the pride of Bubbling Creek were rough. She picked fights with stray lions and animals, lashed out at the Denmothers, and ignored the Huntguards' instructions on training days. Bubbling Creek's Garden Queen, Mossy Stones, urged the other lionesses to give her patience and understanding, but many were not convinced that Flint Fall would stay in the Forest Pride much longer. One lioness, however, saw Flint Fall's lash-outs for what they were: a cry for help. Razor Snake, the only other grayscale lioness in the Forest Pride, took Flint Fall under her wing.
Razor Snake was technically the Riverbank Queen, but she considered herself less of a Queen and more of a Watcher. She started bringing Flint Fall along with her on scouting trips and watch patrols. Flint Fall's previous fear of the outside lands slowly diminished as Razor Snake showed her all that could be Watched in and outside of their pride. Razor Snake's patience and sharp tongue helped whip Flint Fall into a respectable, fierce young lioness. While the bite of her mother and twin sister's departures still stung from time to time, Flint Fall prided herself on her personal growth.
Flint Fall now trains under Razor Snake as an Apprentice Watcher. Her pelt is littered with scars from her anger-filled days of rebellion, but she values each one as a reminder of the scared, angry cub she once was and vows never to be again.
Years passed, Bubbling Creek joined the stars, and a new king took over the pride. Aqua Aero was a boisterous, energetic successor to the quiet and mild Bubbling Creek. While his drastically different personality and new organization of the pride took some getting used to, he brought with his new reign a gift: Dusk River's return. Reunited with her beloved mother, Flint Fall vowed to never again let anger and distrust rule her heart.
