Carmelita brought her cub from one of her many travels one day. She left the cub in the pride, believing she would be safer there than with Carmelita. She didn't abandon her, however. She named her daughter Camelia after her favorite flower and always makes sure to visit her whenever she is in the Peaceful Springs.
Camelia was raised and trained as a huntress, which she was good at. Brilliant even. She loved the adrenaline of it, the feeling hunting gave her. However, she found something she liked more. Like her mother, she loves to explore, and Candance, the former Archivist, saw potential in her. That's how Camelia became her apprentice, and eventually the pride's Archivist.

Camelia is quite an optimist in her own right. She doesn't go to the delusional extremies, but she always tries to see things in a positive light if possible. She enjoys a good adventure, like her mother, but she doesn't necessarily hunger for it. She can live a simple, quiet life and be happy with it.
