Though they were born at the same time, they do not get along as Triumph creates much work for Occult and is often held in higher respect because of her adult like appearance and victories while Occult, reflecting the potential Triumph squanders, is cub-like and left to clean up the mess resulting from Triumphs conquests. Despite their animosity, Occult was there the day of Ruins birth and found the cub when Triumph could not, comforting her from all the chaos she represented and embodied around her. Since mother and daughter cannot walk side by side when on earth, Occult became a protector and playmate to Ruin, trying to keep the young goddess optimistic despite her curse of chaos.
