Burnt Sage
Calm + Gentle + Star-Touched

Having such an energetic father never suited Burnt Sage; he was known for his loud and boisterous energy, his desire to explore and stomp through the plains with vigor and excitement, while she was known for her careful and gentle approach to adventuring. Her dark pelt and markings allowed her to blend into the shadows, with the small dots of white from her Piebald mutation adding an extra layer of camouflage. While he would attract attention and enjoy the thrill of the chase, Burnt Sage would silently stalk and pounce with success at her claws every time.

As a cub she'd laugh and play with other cubs, but would also be happy to stick with the shadows and simply observe. She learned a lot by observing -- the ways in which her pride members interacted, and the best methods of interacting with them. Learning by observation she figured the best ways to grow into her pride while taking the time to determine whether she was interested in others. After all, not every cub stayed with their birth pride, as her mother had told her. She knew she might decide to leave her pride one day, and although the idea scared her a little it also emboldened her to see how other families lived.

It wasn't long before she stumbled across the pride of Gl00my, a gentle and humble lion with a dappled pelt just like hers. Immediately she felt comfort and peace upon meeting his pridemates; most of them were like her -- quiet and gentle, sticking to the shadows -- but observant and intelligent, and eager to get along. While some of her siblings were more okay with causing a ruckus, here there seemed to be more of a peace that she was happy to join. After talking with her father and this Gl00my she made the decision -- she'd join this new pride and finally live the life she felt most comfortable in.

Upon joining she felt like she fit in immediately -- she could hunt the way she wanted, stick to the shadows, and made friends with calm and level-headed lionesses like herself. She had no doubt that she would grow in and enjoy this pride -- and she was proud to now call it her family.
