When Blossom joined the pride she never expected to find love like she did. She was laying in the meadow on a warm spring day. She was deep in her thoughts when she was suddenly woken up by a tap on the shoulder. She looked around, but it took her a moment before she saw her: the most beautiful lioness she had ever seen. All at once her breath was pulled from her body. Their eyes met and Blossom was too stunned to speak.

"I uh- hi.." Blossom said shyly.

"Well hi there sleepy head, you're in my napping spot." The lioness said playfully.

"Oh- I uh... I didn't know that.." Blossom said, rolling over. "I can move if.. if you’d like?" She said sheepishly.

"Nah, I was just messing with you. I just wanted to say hi. You're so cute I couldn't help myself."

Blossom's ears shot back and she blushed. "Oh.. thank you," she smiled sweetly. "You have such beautiful fur.. It's green like the dewey meadows in the morning. What is your name?" She asked.

"I'm Emerald." The lioness smiled warmly and gave a slight bow of her head. "You're Blossom, right? The rumors were true. Wow, your fur is like freshly bloomed cherry trees. I had to see for myself!" With that Emerald giggled and pranced off into the field, looking proud of herself.

Blossom ran off after pouncing on her playfully. They rolled around in the flowers for hours, laughing and having fun. At one point they found a place under a tree and sat together watching the cubs chase butterflies, and chatting the rest of the day away. They were smitten with each other. It was then that Blossom realized the sky had never seemed so blue, the clouds so fluffy and the flowers so fragrant. She knew she wanted to spend every moment with Emerald.

From then on Emerald and Blossom found any chance they had to sneak off and be alone together, just to enjoy each other's company under the shade of the trees, and amongst the flowers. They often catch themselves talking for hours, never running out of things to say. There hasn't been a day that passed that they didn't enjoy each other's company. Their love is forever strong.
