Caliste once was a lion like any other, but it was a curse coming from a ruthless goddess who turned her this way; In one fateful night, Caliste set off for hunting on her own, having always enjoyed the peace and solitude of the marshlands where she lived. That night, she ended up meeting Chandra, the moon god, bathing on the clear pools of the marsh. Noticing her, and fascinated by Caliste's beauty, Chandra came for her, taking dalliances and luring the poor liones, who fell in love with the god. At the sunrise, Chandra left Caliste on her wonders, unable to stop thinking about the divine lion she met. The next night, Caliste went for the same pool, calling for Chandra. But instead, her calls were attended by Bharani, Chandra's wife, who burned with rage when discovered the affections between the lioness and her husband. Blinded by anger, Bharani killed Caliste. When the moon god came down, he witnessed what happened and demanded Bharani to bring Caliste back, but Bharani, cunning and wicked, brought Caliste back as a undead lioness, cursed with the sorrowful immortallity, so she were doomed to live to see everyone she loved deceive. Then, Caliste was left alone, with the thought of never finding love ever again. Abashed and disgusted by her appearance, and scared of what would the other lions think, she left her pride and kin behind, wandering alone for moons. She ended up in a vast, harsh desert, where she believed she would starve soon. But from the horizon, among the high sand peaks, a golden lion appeared, stating to be the king of a great, powerful pride. Caliste, seeing it as her only chance, accepted the lion, Salvador's, invite, following him to a gorgeous, plenteous jungle oasis, just in the middle of the arid desert. Caliste, who was named "Harbinger" after joining the pride, settled in quickly, finding peace and kin that accept and care for her.
