Urithi means ‘legacy’. She’s named after her mother, Mrithi, which means ‘heir’. She is the continuation of bloodline of Niko-Hai. One of few.
Urithi is one of six cubs that foster in the Kalahari Pride as older cubs, when the Hidden Valley broodmothers are overwhelmed with the Regandi Baby Boom. Urithi thinks it’s a great idea, she wants to see the pride King Wema came from. She likes to learn about history and heritage. She IMMEDIATELY befriends former king Rego, who spends hours training with her and telling her as many stories as she wants.
Urithi can’t believe her luck when the QUEEN of the pride, Faline, is chosen to be her foster mother! Urithi pesters her with questions as often as she can, and respects her immensely. Urithi only lives in the Kalahari Pride for three months before she returns to her mother, but she carries happy memories with her for the rest of her life.
As an adult, Urithi is not one of King Regandi’s chosen Consorts, but does acquire special permission to bear his cubs. Regandi respects her greatly, as the last of the First King, Niko-Hai’s bloodline, and wants to give her cubs the same chance as his consorts’ to inherit the throne.
The resulting cubs have no interest in the throne, and leave the pride as adults after finding love among the young males of the pride. They decide to start a pride of their own, Majira with her mate Joesi and Impi with her mate Mikhail. Urithi is very proud of them.

~Wema pulls Urithi aside to berate them after they misbehaved. You catch bits and pieces of what he says, including "back in my day" and "my mother would have skinned me for that". Never change, old man.
~Urithi prances about with their Grandpaw, head held high. Old Grandpaw Wema is telling everyone how great Urithi is, and what a fantastic pride member they'll be when they grow up. 2x
~Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨ has pulled Urithi away from their siblings to teach them to be unafraid. Urithi is brave enough to leap onto a locust - and when Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨ hollers and hoots about their bravery, the excited smile on Urithi's face is enough to make you smile a little, too. 2x
~Urithi and Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨ are playing on the outskirts of your pride's home. Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨ is playing the bad guy, and when Urithi manages to get their teeth and claws snagged in Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨'s mane, the old lion "dies" very dramatically, flopping onto his grandcub, who squeals in delight and declares that they are the king now.
~Urithi approaches you with a detailed report on the pride's whereabouts the night before. 2x
~You find Urithi carefully watching the ducks in the water. You ask her what she's doing. She tells you that she hunts the best if she knows the behavior of her prey. Smart...but couldn't she take a break? It's been hours!
~When you come to say hello, Urithi runs to you, making sure you look your best today with a few licks on your cheek.
~Urithi greets you with a frowned look on her face. Where have you been the whole day? There's so much to do!
