Nightshade has a resemblance to her beautiful mother, Queen Blood Fire. Nightshade was six years old when her mother died. The entire pride went into grieving when Blood Fire died in her sleep. Nightshade refused to eat and shed several pounds. Luckily for the dubbed princess, she had plenty of friends who gradually helped her mind off of her mother's absence. Those who were strong of heart and dedicated enough were patient to let Nightshade grieve. Many shared their memories with her and allowed her the space to let her emotions flow, knowing this was both healthy and a trustworthy path to healing. Some others were more aggressive in their convictions of the best ways to heal, which in some cases, backfired in the form of a brokenhearted and sometimes angry Nightshade
