Ubulembu

Ubulembu means ‘moss’, she is named for the greenish tint of her fur. So rare! Ubulembu is Seladon’s final cub, born second in her fifth litter. Seladon is incredibly surprised by her, all her life’s she’s been hoping for a cub to inherit her beautiful maziwa coat, but this cub’s bushveld looks are even more sought after! She ecstatic!

(Seladon is actually a great mother, and has loved all of her children regardless of the color of their fur. She’s just also vain and prideful.)

~When Ubulembu mother was out, Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨ took it upon himself to entertain them until their mum came back. 4x

~Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨ has pulled Ubulembu away from their siblings to teach them to be unafraid. Ubulembu is brave enough to leap onto a locust - and when Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨ hollers and hoots about their bravery, the excited smile on Ubulembu‘s face is enough to make you smile a little, too.

~Ubulembu wants to hear your mightiest roar! You gladly demonstrate! When you're done, though, you find that they are gone. Whoops….too much?

~Ubulembu and Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨ are playing on the outskirts of your pride's home. Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨ is playing the bad guy, and when Ubulembu manages to get their teeth and claws snagged in Grandpaw ✨ Rego ✨'s mane, the old lion "dies" very dramatically, flopping onto his grandcub, who squeals in delight and declares that they are the king now. 2x

~You sneak up on Ubulembu, purposefully badly. The little one finds your crappy stalking hilarious, and is giggling while trying to pretend you've got them!

~Ubulembu wants a story before bedtime. Alright, fair enough. You settle next to them and tell them about that one time Apedemak came up to you while exploring and you got in a fight over stars or fireflies…

~Ubulembu greets you cheerfully and abundantly as you pass her on your rounds.
