Mystique is as mysterious as her name implies: no one is quite sure where she came from or what her story is. Regandi is smitten with her, that’s all the Pride knows. She makes friends easily with her sarcastic sense of humor, and keeps them with her stubborn loyalty. Mystique is well-liked, just…strange. Regandi is true to his word and names no Queen until Princess Lessa comes of age, but it’s pretty clear that if Lessa should reject him, Mystique would be his choice to be Queen. The two lions are together constantly, and seem genuinely healthy for each other. Lessa does not reject Regandi, the two are married just before her first heat. But, Lessa is clever. She has no intention of restricting her husband to just one mate, in fact, she encourages him to choose seven royal consorts! Mystique is the First Consort, second in rank only to Queen Lessa. She gains quite a bit of power, as the other consorts assist the King and Queen in ruling, as a sort of Royal Council. Mystique finds she rather likes Lessa. First litter: 1.
