Shuul, which means death, was named so because at her birth in the last pride a drought began, which did not end and claimed lives. The head of the pride decided to expel the lion cub, calling her a bad omen. Shuul was far away when she was met by Shuul'wah, the ruler of a neighboring pride. He, seeing the unusual appearance of the lion cub, took her and raised her under his wing, taking care of the baby. Shuul grew up to be a strong and powerful warrior, and the drought passed, turning out to be just a prolonged natural phenomenon. But that pride showed up demanding the return of their lion cub. Shuul'wah let Shuul figure it out, and she challenged the pride leader for him. And she won. Shuul threw up her head and roared, to which her pride echoed her, fully recognizing her as part of them.
