Biography
Cherry was sun bathing, her bird sat nearby. She yawned and sat up, hearing her fathers familiar footsteps nearing her. As she turned around, she saw a cub not much younger than her in her fathers mouth.
"Hey dad! Who's this?" she greeted her father cheerfully and questioned. CottonBall gently set the cub down before he began to speak.
"This is Trix, I just got her from the giving tree about an hour ago." CottonBall responded. Trixs' bird landed near Cherrys' and the two began curiously looking at each other.

Dear Friend,

Hello from the savannah! I’m Cherry, the lioness with the biggest smile in the pride, and I just had to share a little of my joy with you. Life here is full of vibrant energy, and I truly believe in the power of laughter and kindness to make every day brighter. Whether I'm basking in the sun with my pride or chasing the wind through the tall grass, I find so much happiness in the simple moments. There's nothing quite like the feeling of the earth beneath my paws and the sky above me, and I love to take in every single detail around me with a heart full of gratitude.

One of my favorite things to do is play, especially with my younger siblings. They’re full of endless energy, and their little adventures keep me laughing all day long. We leap, tumble, and wrestle until we’re all covered in dirt and so tired we can barely stand. The joy of that freedom, and the bond it creates between us, fills me with a warmth that no meal could ever match. It’s in these moments that I feel the most connected to my pride and to the world around me. But sometimes, when I look around, I feel the absence of my father deeply. He was always the strong, steady presence in our family—his deep voice a calming force when things got too chaotic. His wisdom and quiet strength are missed, and I find myself longing for one of his reassuring nuzzles or a moment when he would look at me with those knowing eyes.

Joy isn't just about play, though—it’s in the little things, too. I find joy in the way the sun filters through the trees, in the rustling sounds of the leaves, and in the gentle companionship of my fellow lionesses. There’s something incredibly special about the quiet moments when we all gather together, sharing space without words but with an understanding that only those closest to you can share. These moments bring me a peace and contentment that I treasure. And through it all, I’ve been so grateful for my best friend Trix, even though she’s not the most outwardly expressive lioness. Trix has a more reserved, cold personality, and sometimes it feels like she holds her emotions at a distance. But despite that, there’s a quiet strength in her that has been my rock. She’s there when I need her most—always ready to give practical advice, share a glance of understanding, or simply stand by me in silence. I think, in her own way, she cares deeply, and I’ve learned that friendship doesn’t always have to look a certain way to be true.

I hope that as you read this, you can feel the same lightness in your heart that I feel every day. No matter the challenges or the difficult days, I’ve learned that happiness is always there, waiting to be found in the most unexpected places. I’m sending you a little piece of my joy, and I hope it reminds you to look for the beauty around you, even in moments of loss. Always keep smiling, because there’s so much to be grateful for in this wild, wonderful world!

With warmth and a big, joyful roar,
Cherry
