Biography

"I see a ghost out on the water
I swear it has my face"

The strong scent of water lures you toward it, thirsty for a drink. You weave blindly through the undergrowth until the world becomes bright - a stark contrast from the dim light of the jungle - and you feel sand beneath your paws. Once your eyes adjust, you see the source of the smell you were following: a small pond, the cleanest you've ever seen.

Before you can leap toward it to rehydrate yourself, you catch sight of a glimmer to your right. Turning your head, you find a bright lioness, the scars of a hunter decorating her legs while her pelt appears to almost ripple and shimmer in the sunlight. She gives you a kind smile.

"Coleoptera welcomes you home." Her focus turns downward, and when you follow her gaze you catch sight of a cocoon hanging from a small plant at her paws. "This caterpillar will soon emerge as a moth," she explains when she notices your expression. "I've been watching over her to keep her safe. The birds love this beach. Would you like to join me?"
