Meredith had received many invitations from kings to join their prides, but all had been so pushy - and she hadn't had a fancy for any of the males, but seeing Scopulus, everything made sense. Her stunning coat immediately caught Scopulus's eye - so she was an easy lioness to let join when she requested it. Apparently her previous pride was less than stellar, and Scopulus was happy to make room for her in her own pride. Broodmothers don't tend to be made right-paw lionesses, but Meredith is regardless respected and well-liked, partially because she knows when to keep her maw shut.
