She was everything the pride needed - strong, healthy, clever. The pride expected her to become a great huntress, or maybe a fighter, but to everyones surprise, Blush wanted to be a herbalist. She knew it since she was a cub, but she revealed it when her time to become a apprentice came. Hawk seemed to be dissapointed with her decision, but the pride's herbalist was getting older and needed an apprentice, so he had no other choice but to agree. Blush joined the medicine den as Maple's apprentice. She quickly bonded with her new mentor and was quick to learn about herbs, illnesses and ways to treat them. She was also getting along with the pride's shaman, Quartz. Blush hoped to learn much more from her beloved mentor, but unfortunately Maple soon passed away. Blush had to step up and became an official herbalist, but she wasn't ready just yet. Quartz had to continue her training, but as a shaman she knew way less than Maple. In the end Blush knew enough to take care of her pride for now, but she was afraid that something bad will happen, something that she won't be able to take care of. Quartz was there to support her, of course, but even with their knowledge combined they knew that there are things that they can't cure. Blush's lack of knowledge became obvious when a sickness struck the pride. King Oleander and Queen Spring were amongst the infected lions. Blush tried everything she knew, but nothing seemed to cure the sickness.
