Besides, her contributions to the pride far outweigh her tendency to over-zealously guard her things - she can hear more sharply than any other lion in the pride, perfectly able to detect the sound of nearby prey or danger. The other broodmothers don't quite know what they'd do without her, given how often the cubs try to sneak off!
