Elrakis

Elrakis, a young cub born to the father, Strawberry, and mother, Artemis, has become a huge blessing to king Brontide as he was given the role of king from the retiring Candy cane, who reluctantly gave over his pride as he couldn't provide for them any longer.

The first lion to ever approach the new king when he was passed the role was young Elrakis, a small dwarf cub scared of the newcomer, but wanting to put on a brave face for all of her siblings *so they'd hopefully stop calling her crycub...*

As she approached the new king and battered at his tail tuft, it came ablaze with the kings surprise. But when the cub yelped out, the king didn't scold her in anger, but leaned down to check on her and see if she were ok, feeling bad for have hurting such a small, young cub.

His first day, Brontide immediately took her in as his apprentice, even at such a young age, and not being a male, he wanted to make this little one feel special. And so, he dubbed her his heir, and the big sister for any of his new cubs to come.

Elrakis takes her role very seriously, patrolling around with her now adoptive father and going on small prey hunts with her mother, who was grateful to Brontide.

On a particularly hard night for the cub, she'd woken up and ran straight for the kings den, crawling into the fluff of Brontides Mane. When asked what was wrong when he awoke, she told the king about a dream she'd had about a mean lion taking her from her pride and killing her…feeling worried, Brontide asked the cub where that idea came from her, and her answer was appalling.

She'd told him that she heard there were lions who kill mutated cubs like her for no reason, and that she was afraid that she would be next…Brontide comforted the young one, grooming her as he told her he wouldn't let anything like that happen to any of her siblings, nor her. And once the cub was asleep, he stayed alert for a while before curling around the small dwarf lioness cub and fell asleep as well.
