Mkali

Mkali means ‘bright’ or ‘fierce’, she is named for her fiery coat and even fierier personality. Mkali is Fireflicker’s first cub in her first litter.

Mkali doesn’t get along well with the other lionesses her age in the Hidden Valley Pride, especially Princess Erulan. The two butt heads over everything, and when Mkali hijacks Erulan’s leadership of her hunting party, that is the last straw. King Regandi would never banish a lioness over petty fights with his daughter, but he does send her away, to the allied Kalahari Pride, in the hopes she thrives better there.

Mkali isn’t particularly upset. A new pride means new opportunities for advancement, without Erulan in her way.

~You majestically stand on the biggest hill in your territory, surveying your lands. You notice Mkali standing next to you, copying your glorious stance. Awww yeah. We're the best.

~You see Mkali hurriedly push a pile of leaves over a hole, but you get a glimpse of a huge pile of feathers hidden away.

~Mkali stops eating her morning snack, a lizard, and snarls at you when you try to greet her, hiding the reptile between her paws.

~After greeting each other, Mkali feels offended you did not give her enough attention and doesn't seem to be interested in you for the rest of the day. 2x
