Aether

Aether is quite the outlier within the pride. She was found during the August droughts next to a dead mother, trying to suckle already dried-out milk. Oleander took her in and raised her as her own, and the plan was the raise Aether as another hunter and fighter for the pride, but there were several difficulties. Even from an extremely young age, she grew extremely ill at the sight of blood and refused to lift a claw against even the smallest of prey. Kiera planned to give her away to another pride, but Oleander stood up for the little cub, and not even Keira argues against Oleander when she puts a paw down. Oleander instead helps teach Aether the ways of healing, recognizing that even though little Aeth may not remember her mother's death fully, some of the trauma may linger. Aether is also mute, which Oleander also recognizes is her trauma. She doesn't mind, though. She loves Aether like her daughter.
