Akuji I

As the heir of the pride, a lot of pressure is put on Akuji to be a fit king when Yoooo dies. Yoooo constantly gets irritated with his adopted son's attitude and lack of responsibility, especially since he rarely comes back from patrols with anything due to stopping and starting at himself in pools of water as he is incredibly self-absorbed. Yoooo has threatened countless times to make Jahir the king instead of Akuji, or even Abeer or Davion as king. Akuji is becoming increasingly agitated with his adopted father, but also doesn't want to be proven wrong about his own abilities. His adopted mother Gasira seems to be the only lion in the pride other than his sister Efia or Jahir that listen to him.

After some time, Akuji overheard his parents speaking about having Abeer come back from his time at their father's cousin's pride in order to start stepping into the time of heir. A sense of acceptance suddenly washed over Akuji. He wasn't fit to be king... But his brother was. Abeer was smarter and kinder than he was. Akuji couldn't have been an honorable king, he would have destroyed the pride with his selfishness. From then on, Akuji started trying to be kinder, and realized he was the problem.
