THE TALE OF THE ORDINARY SISTER.

This cub's sister was born with an adult mutation present. The excitement and anticipation of her sister's extraordinary unknown mutation led this young lioness to grow distant and neglected, overshadowed by her sister in the den. She chose to join her old pride's den, the Outskirts, on her own in hopes to find a home that would love her for who she was, even if she didn't have a special mutation. She was worthy of love too, but she knew she might not find it in her birth pride.

And, one day, that worth came in the form of two lions; a king and his sweet daughter. The two were travelers, often seeking young cubs and old lionesses alike to give sanctuary to, as that was the purpose of their pride in the skies... Daylight Harbor, to give sanctuary and safety to those searching for it. They offered the nameless darling a place among their most trusted of ranks, and a place within their hearts as Tigris' adoptive daughter. Both grateful and uncertain, but eager for the mystery ahead, she went with them. How could she say no to everything she had been yearning for, after all?

Once arrived at the beautiful oasis that stretched far out and wide beneath the cover of the stars, Tigris gave her new daughter a name; Leopard. Mostly for the mesmerizing black marks upon her golden back, but also for the stealth she was already beginning to show at such a young age. Yes, Leopard showed much promise. Here, the pride cared not if she was simply ordinary.

Because here, ordinary was beautiful, and here, she was cherished.

The month after, as she reached a year of age, Leopard took her hunting assessment. After passing it with top marks, she began training beneath the High Chief Huntress, Wadjet. This... This was it. The beginning of a new journey. Not of the Ordinary Sister, but of Leopard, the next High Chief Huntress of Daylight Harbor.
