Selkie was found on the edge of a human village. Fearing for the cubs' safety, Mercury took her back to his pride. She was old enough to understand how harsh the world was when her mother left her, adopting a harsh and brutal attitude.
Selkie did great in all her cub classes and took an interest in following the hunting party when they went out. But while she stayed at the pride, she was often given the responsibility of cub sitter. She was also assigned a dragon, Talon, which Mercury found in the cosmos for protection.
Selkie enjoys the company of others, which is why she also has a tiny hedgehog friend. Selkie grew an attachment to Cassis, always following her around. She felt like a bother, considering she always brought Millie and Moxie along, but when Cassis showed up at the market branch with Ford and Valerie, she didn't feel as bad.
After months of watching the hunting parties with Cass, their only chance to leave the cubs with their mothers, Selkie finally came of age to join her first hunt. She tussled with Cassis, bragging about how she was one month older than her. She didn't have to worry about cub sitter much either. She felt relieved that Moxie and Mille were adolescents now and grateful that she could leave the branch to them.
