The emperor was happy he was born naming him Obscuras (Shadow) while placing him as his crown prince. Obscuras was raised by the Empress and the Spiras Consorts after his mother left him and his sister behind. Obscuras knew being placed crown prince while his father was young will be tough as he'll have to prove he can succeed him. He is more close to the Spiras Consorts than the Empress but respects her since she's holding onto her position by a thin thread. He hope they both make it to the end without getting replaced. When the Emperor wanted to exile the Empress Cerau after deposing her, he begged him not too. After Scholarly Consort gave birth to her first litter that had two muties and one was a male, Obscuras knew his position could be threaten. After the Emperor grandson was born, Obscuras stepped down as crown prince and ask to be General instead.
