When Fauna arrived in Micail's kingdom, she was in terrible condition. Dehydrated and malnourished, she was beginning to think she would perish, when the draconic lion found her, and offered her shelter.
After quenching her thirst and sleeping for long hours, she shared her story with him and the other lionesses. Even though she was not so young, she was very innocent. Her obedient personality made her grow up and fulfill her role in the old pride without ever thinking about questioning what the world was like outside. And when one night, while she was walking a little, a nomadic male appeared in front of her, attracted by her scent, she did not know that he could represent danger or trouble.
It wasn't her first heat, but since her leader was her father, she had never been with a male, and the nomad noticed and took advantage of this. When he told his mother what had happened, she was horrified, and explained to her daughter that if her father found out, he would be capable of killing her, or the cubs, if she had gotten pregnant.
When they reached adolescence, Fauna told them her story. Her son decided to stay, which made her grateful, because she knew his personality was cruel, and staying with Micail would keep him in line. Her daughter, fearless from an early age, despite having a personality similar to her own, wanted to leave. Fauna was sad, but she understood that she wanted to follow her own path. At least, as a relief to her heart, her daughter did not leave with the same dangerous innocence that she herself had.
Fear took over her, and she ended up deciding to run away instead of talking to her father. But she had never lived on her own, and it almost cost her her life.
Micail assured her that she could stay, with or without cubs. The lioness thanked him, thinking in her mind that she was not pregnant, since she had not felt anything different until now. When the contractions began, it was a big surprise. Her two cubs were born very small and fragile, and the older lionesses in the pride explained to her that she had not realized she was pregnant because she had become very weak and debilitated.
During the first week of their lives, she was sure that the little ones would not survive because they were so small, but they defied fate and grew up to become healthy cubs.
