Royal Princess Sequoia

Born the third out of her mother's second litter of four, it was like Sequoia came with all the luck in this world. She was born during King Salvator's older years and during the last few years of his reign. Princess Sequoia was named the first royal born 'Princess', due to her having the special coat from her father and carrying all of the beauty of her mother. There wasn't a prettier cub King Sav laid eyes on. Sequoia instantly won his heart, and this earned her title despite not being the crown heiress.

Her mother Argent, due to not being from nobility and because of having failed litters, fell out of the King's favour and was almost going to be banished. However, the King decided to give her one last chance, which resulted into four cubs including Sequoia. It was as if Sequoia was her mother's good fortune, the gift that saved her. None of Sequoia's other sisters, be it from her own litter or the litter before her, inherited her beauty. Her arrival brought joy to the whole Kingdom, as well as her own mother who was promoted to a royal of the pride.

The only other lion who, arguably, was not happy by her arrival was the Queen. It is customary, made so by King Salvator, that only the King's cubs bore by the Queen get the special title of 'Princess' by blood right. Queen Casseiophia is set to give birth to the next Queen, who will rule the lands with the chosen consort after King Sav's passing. While that is still the case, it was her being born out of a lioness without nobility that angered the Queen the most. Did Sequoia's arrival put the Queen's and her future cubs' glory in the shadows? Apparently not. For while her Highness Sequoia carries the special title, she will never be the next Queen unlike Casseiophia's cubs.

Sequoia, however, does hold a special purpose in the pride and to the King. If the King himself fails to sire a special cub carrying the Nun coat through the Princess Consorts, the duty will fall upon Sequoia to carry on the King's wishes. She will then birth a special cub, just like her, who will take over the neighbouring Tranos Kingdom and continue her father's legacy.
