*Backstory of Kati, the Bobbed-Tail Lion*

Kati was born in the savannah and lived a simple life with his mother until they were captured by poachers. In the struggle to protect him, his mother was killed, leaving Kati alone at her side. His tail was caught in the trap, resulting in a bobbed tail that would forever mark his past.

The nameless cub was discovered by King Akere, a compassionate ruler known for taking in outcasts. Moved by Kati’s plight, Akere took him into his pride and named him **Kati**, meaning "cut" in Swahili, to honor his unique appearance.

As Kati healed, he grew into a kind and fatherly figure to the other cubs in the pride, offering them guidance and affection. Akere recognized Kati’s potential and began grooming him to become the next king, especially since no female lions had produced male heirs.

However, uncertainty loomed—if a true heir were born, what would happen to Kati’s future? Despite this, Kati focused on proving himself worthy of the name and the legacy Akere envisioned. Under the king's guidance, he grew stronger and more resilient, ready to embrace his identity and face the challenges ahead as he prepared for his role as the future king.
