Asmodeus is the Demon who personifies and represents lust, the sexual sin related to adultery. He is the demon who exists as the arch-rival of the angel of Chastity, Gabriel. Asmodeus is a member of the Seven Princes of Hell and the embodiment of Lust, one of the Seven Deadly Sins. As the demon of lust, he manipulates the sexual desires of humans. Everyone who fails to resist his corruption will be condemned to spend an eternity in the second layer of Hell. Asmodeus can be a ruthless monster or a mischievous demon who is an expert on satire. He also has an intense dislike of birds and water as to him, they are a reminder of God. Asmodeus commands hundreds of legions of demons. His authority over Hell is second to Lucifer and Satan. He also oversees all the gambling horses that reside in the court of Hell. He is sometimes compared to Abaddon by theologians. Before falling, Asmodeus was known as Asmodel, the angel of April and Patience and the ruler of Taurus.
