Hyena was born to Bloommane, the cruel tyrant of the time, and Wolfstep, a loving mother who constantly had to endure Bloommane's cruelty. Wolfstep was always there to encourage Hyena to walk on the "right" path, train him daily, stay away from strange laughing creatures, and not eat food if vultures poked at it. But Bloommane had other ideas for him, such as training him with demons. Spicy creatures from Satan's basement, heck, H-E double hockey sticks, if you will. Many lions hold the (false) belief that demons are their allies and that demonic forces can be used for whatever selfish reason they desire. But Hyena was born in it, molded by the power source of every evil in this world. Colossal in size and a horrific sight, he is protective of his pride and willing to annihilate his enemies. In contrast, he's still a playful and curious cub at heart when not protecting his pride from certain doom.
