Cocoa'Flames

Her mother was hunting with the rest of the pack when she felt strong contractions & knew the day had come. After the hunt she lays down under a tree close to the pride & a broodmother spotted her. The broodmother walked over & layer beside her to give some comfort but as she was giving birth they both notice it was a lot of blood more then it should be, she also had a hard time giving birth. She birthed 3 alive cubs one female & 2 male cubs, sadly the last cub was dead when it entered the world. Not long after did she died of blood lost & her last words was ”take care of them” before leaving the world behind. The males was 2 times smaller & weaker then the female. The broodmother took them in nursing them as her own. But a few days passed & her little brothers never gained weight only uses. Their small body’s was to weak to even move at the time.

The broodmother did everything to save the brothers life but the world had other plans. On a sunny breezy day they all were laying below a tree in the shadow when the brothers took their last breaths. The broodmother was heart broken she felt like she had failed to protect them & now only 1 cub remains. She was thin & by the days she was the only one that gained some weight. After some weeks she became stronger & was the only survivor. One day she opened her eyes seeing the world for the first time. It was the happiest day for the broodmother & had sworn to protect her no matter the cost.


She was smaller then the cubs in her age but a normal cub she got the name Cocoa after her mothers name. As she grew she was clumpy & somehow always draw the attention towards her. Every role she tries never fits her & just made a mess. So they decided that she can just look at the young cubs as it’s the only role were she’s just gonna follow them & make sure none goes near them other then the mothers. This made her feel lika a outcast & everyone she knew never had time with her or find excuses.

She young & bored, as she was taking care of the cubs she got an idea & decided to go outside their territory, a risk that could end her life. All alone with no protections. She made sure nowone looked as she sneaked away & at first it was scary. But after a few times she felt more comfortable going outside the territory. But one day on her adventures she saw a stranger a young male lion who’s looking for a pride to join.

He had a week ago got chased away from the pride he was raised in & have become a young man looking for his own territory. When he spotted her he knew he might got a chance & walked towards her. She didn't knew what to do & froze while he came closer. Not long after they faced one another, he asks who she was & she could barely speak. He notice it & started I’m tweedy. I’m..I’m…Cocoa she said with fear in her voice. He looks down at her nice to meet you he said with a calm voice. Just a question he said aren’t you a little young to be out here? She growl I’m not to young in 3 months away to be a young adult. I see well where is your pride then? Don’t you know it’s dangerous out here? of course I know that she said. I’m just checking close by for predictors like you she growls a little. He laughs aren’t you cute.


You see if I wanted to hurt you I would by now, don’t you know the strength from a male? He looks at her surprisingly. Not really she said while thinking. The king we have mostly sleep. Oh he said so your king is getting old maybe that’s the reason. In his mind he knew this was the perfect spot to start a new life. Yea she said suspicious why? Well he starts if you didn't knew because he’s getting old will other males challenge him for the spot. What do you mean she asks.

If you haven’t notice males get kicked from their home pack to find new ones & to get their own kingdoms. Mostly males target older males as it’s a bit eazyer. Oh..she said your one of them aren’t you? Yes he said with a confident voice. I won’t show you the way, that’s alr he said. What do you mean she asks. I don’t need you to show me you did a good job by leaving tracks on the ground. She looks down seeing her paws tracks leading right towards the territory. Please she said they are just gonna think it’s my fault again don’t do this…she start crying while realize the mistake she done.


It’s not your fault he said comforting her, it’s just his time & I will make sure they won’t blame you on anything ever again. She just looks at him still sobbing. They are gonna hate me..they love their king & your gonna take him down. Look..he said they might like their king but sooner or later he dies & the pride will die without a male I’m just doing a favo, beside you can rule by my side if you wants too. Would you? She had stop sobbing looking at him & nods, yes anything I’d better then the life I got now just don’t kill him… I try he said. He followed the tracks & cocoa followed.

After 20 min they arrived, the lionesses whispered. She could already hear the complain that’s it’s her fault & she lowered her ears. He saw this & let out a roar how dare you, they went quiet. She’s younger then most of you & blaming her for everything. You all should now better. The roar got the old studs attention & walked towards the sounds. As the lionesses was ashamed did the old lead appear & they started roaring happy for him. Cocoa layed down on a rock watching when they fighted & as expected the old male lost & they had a new king.

Cocoa became the second ruler & even tho she was lonely she had tweedy who changed her life & will forever be loyal to.
