Biography
A lion that had gotten lost as a cub one day and never found her way home.
The fact that she has lived to adulthood by herself is a mystery to even her. Alone for almost all her life, all she wanted to do was find a friend. She often tried to befriend small antelope and even hares, never knowing they all seemed so afraid of her. She has always wondered why the giraffes at the water hole always stopped drinking to watch her closely. The hyenas would chase her whenever she came near. Soon, she too learned why. And then she disappeared. This cub would no longer bother other creatures. She lay down in the grey dust. Never to be a burden again.

"I'm tired.. but at least this place isn't so bad."

Lying on her back in the arid dirt, she watched the drifting stars for hours.

"Perhaps the stars will adopt me." She chuckled half-heartedly.
The cub let the dust bury her. It took her in. Adopted her. She no longer felt alone. The sands became her home, where she belonged.
