if you're interested in being apart of her journey.
Once she's spent time in your pride,
you must send her back to my pride.

Alaska goes out in search of her father, Sundrop; alongside her, Delta, a platinum fox she's known since she was a newborn cub. "Look, are you sure about this? We're already so far out, Alaska…" Delta would ask in short time, occasionally peering back at their Pride, which only grew farther and farther away. Alaska was still just a cub at 10 months old and had never met her father; she was completely unaware of his whereabouts and if he was even still alive. She had only heard stories about Sundrop from her mother, Leifr — some of which Alaska was sure wasn't true, such as when he stole a drop from the sun to help guide his Pride through dark times.
But, she still left without her mother or the Queen's acknowledgement, and briefly wondered if the Pride would even be aware that she was missing. "I know where I'm going, just follow me," Alaska responded back, tail lifted high in false confidence; unwilling to admit that she was already lost. "It can't be much longer now."
In her travels, Alaska stumbled into another Pride, much different from the one she was searching for. Sundrop wasn't there. But the lands were already starting to take a different shape, sound, and smell. In her fascination, she was almost forgetting the reason she wandered out in the first place; at least until Delta brought her back with the question. “Is this the one…?” Her demeanor and tone was semi-hushed, cautious as ever, eyes searching; the silver fox simply just couldn't stand in one place for long periods of time.
“No, it must be another Pride along the way,” Alaska answered with a huff. “It doesn't look like anything I've heard, unless–" She was cut off as the two were spotted by the actively patrolling sub-male, Panda, who wordlessly guided them back toward his Pride when he noticed how young they still were. Any right-minded lion would be quick to assume these two were lost, though Alaska would never come to admit that in her ego.
Whilst there, Alaska would meet King Prism Fire, who shortly confirmed that Sundrop was not there. “…But it's the cold season and you're rather small, huh,” Prism Fire carefully examined her as he made a mental note that she was not, in fact, a dwarf lioness. “You're welcome to stay as long as you need.”
Alaska remained with this Pride for three months, where she would learn their customs and the rocky plain territories. Here, there was little coverage aside from the boulders and the wind was often rough against her fur, sometimes even seeming to pick her and Delta off the ground. Learning to make a successful hunt wasn't the easiest task either, when her white coat stood out so much from this dull landscape. Delta didn't seem to mind it too much, however, at least they were welcomed and taken care of.
When she reached 1 year of age, Alaska made her departure once again, not wanting to overstay their welcome. She waved her tail back and forth as she walked further from the rocklands and towards greener areas: this time saying goodbye. Alaska was now old enough to withstand the weather and her surroundings without a guardian.
Some of her white markings were starting to become more visible, then. Much to Alaska's dismay. And they almost seemed to spread the further she aged. At times, she even wondered if the snow was sticking to her… Permanently.
For months, Alaska attempted to shake and groom this snow white fur off, to no avail.
She knew she stuck out even more now, and that mother nature would not be so kind...
This next journey left them rather tired and dehydrated. Alaska went through a savannah dotted here and there with baobab and acacia trees, where they paused beside a hidden waterhole for some time. After that, however, the view was soon reshaped into a charred landscape with dry, cracked clay and mud. No water in sight for miles while she could hardly breathe through the ash in the air. "He's surely not here, either," she quietly rasped. "...I hope."
On the verge of collapse, Alaska and Delta came across their very first waterfall. Finally...! Water! Her muddy and disheveled fur fluffed up with the mist and left heavy droplets on her whiskers when she crept closer. Alaska was taken aback and her galaxy eyes shone brightly. How exciting! But louder than she expected; the rumble made her ears twitch back and drew her entire focus. Alaska was in a sort of trance, so she was rather surprised when the King of the nearby Pride was suddenly there.
Completely in shock and to show him that she wasn't a threat, Alaska ducked backwards and lowered her head, but was openly welcomed to stay for a while with his Pride. Perhaps out of pity? She was still tense as she accepted the offer, needing a homely place to clean up and finally get in a good rest. Her paw pads were sore and cracked as well from wanting to push forward to a safer spot, but she still had her concerns after the King’s mumbling.
“Am I in trouble?” She eventually questioned; they had trespassed, even if they were unaware of it.
“Why, never!” He went from a mutter to an exclamation for a moment. Was it that he was offended by such a question? “I can see you mean no harm, youngster. And you're not the first! We actually have another traveling lioness with us at this very moment.” He smiled, and she relaxed her muscles, releasing the tension.
She met many during this time, including the fellow traveling lioness, and made friends with a few of them; Lady Kukosa, Okänd, and Areté in particular. However, Alaska was starting to grow malnourished after a couple months, as this time she would overextend her stay. Alaska lurked around the waterfall territory, remaining hidden inside of a cave with a narrow opening, despite the King's disapproval. She was rather attached to Okänd, not even Delta could dispirit her from these childish affections. But the stings of hunger and the noisy grumbles from her stomach led to a rather stingy temperament whenever food was involved, unfortunately.
Five months into a year old, Alaska set off for one last time with Delta at her side, to exchange farewells with Okänd. She was homesick and too hungry to continue with her antics. They closed their eyes and touched noses, taking in eachother's scent as they perched together on a flattened rock in front of the waterfall; tails entwined, the affection was always going to be returned. Alaska was warmly given a farewell gift from Okänd then, a Hoopoe friend named Scout, to always remember him and have a guide back when she wanted to visit him.
But as she returned to her original Pride, Alaska couldn't help but to look back with a mournful sigh.
This would be a lot harder of a journey than she thought...
Hocus Pocus was displeased but happy to see that Alaska was alive, whilst her mother scolded her, of course. But she had already grown so much and they quite enjoyed the stories she told of her travels. She was an excellent speaker and knew how to leave a lion/ess on the edge of their seat with the suspense.
For many months afterwards, Alaska trained with the most skilled hunters of her Pride and had even given birth to a couple of litters; one cub in her first journey as a mother, and then three in her next. In spite of her stingy food aggression, Alaska was an excellent mother and trained her cubs well in how to hunt through the snow-covered shrub and firs. Her cubs all inherited a lighter coat like their mother, and blended in well here. It was always cold enough to freeze, so the snow often stuck to the ground, as the Pride resided at the bottom edge of a mountain. Specifically, inside of an intricate cavern, where they slept and raised their young. It gave them a nice advantage, that not every lion/ess could handle when and if there was ever an intruder.
But Alaska still had questions that were unanswered and she was unsatisfied. Sure, she was a mother now, but her cubs were weaned and she knew they would be safe with her Pride. So, after some careful thought and discussion with the Queen, she touched her muzzle against Leifr's shoulder and slowly parted ways.
She simply just had to know, who was Sundrop? Where was he?
And would she ever find out before it was too late...

Alaska wandered into a dense forest and stumbled upon a waterfall? "How the cheese..." looking around, she spotted a giant blue lion behind her. "Hey new traveller, usually I will be coming to you but uh, it seems like you stumbled right to my territory. Name's Tarak!" Alaska blinked in confusion before being dragged away by this strange blue lion and his mumbling. At a lush cave, she spotted some lions and met another fellow traveller, Exodus? Maybe not quite sure, as she went on to meet some pretty important looking lions.
Lady kukosa, Okänd, and Areté bid farewell, with of course a new companion gifted by them.
