Deluge

Litter-brother of Wake the Jaglion. Deluge was a relatively large cub, and quickly learned that he could push his littermate around and face no consequences—for Wake was too small to retaliate, their dam didn't particularly care for either of them, and their sire encouraged his cubs to compete for food, toys, etc., viewing this as the best way for them to learn how to survive as adults. Deluge quickly earned himself a spot amongst Evimerath's favourite cubs, which the youngster took great pride in, since he considered his father to be The Coolest Lion Ever. However, Evimerath also had a soft spot for Wake, given their pride's viewpoint that lions with mutations were to be held in higher regard than those without. As such, the king went out of his way to ensure that Wake had enough food and things to amuse himself throughout his cubhood—something he never did for Deluge, who was expected to fight his other siblings for anything he wanted. For this reason, Deluge grew to resent Wake for not having to work for their father's approval.
