Houdini, the Wicked Witch

Houdini was born into a world of ruin and apocalypse, though she went by another name then. She grew up with his mother, a kind soul and guide who dreamed of happier times. She was only little then, a cub that was a hybrid of a leopard and a lion, like how her mother was. She always dreamed of following in her mothers footsteps, becoming a guide and assisting the rare animals that they happened to meet, but shaped by the cruelty of the world around her, plans changed.

She quickly learned that the only way to truly survive in this world of darkness and death was to embrace it. She turned to the dark arts, learning how to preform simple spells or tricks without his mother learning of it. She then worked at it for a long time, becoming an extremely good witch before deciding to present her new talents to her mother.

Contrary to her expectations, her mother was distraught, if not outright horrified to learn that she'd learned how to use dark magic. She pleaded with her to stop before vowing that she would never see her again after she refused to stop. And so, she didn't, as Houdini left shortly after that.

She gained a reputation for her skill rather quickly between the few remaining survivors, even if it felt slightly wrong to know that her mother, who had been with her through it all, was gone from her life now. Though, her reputation still grew, even if Houdini felt unsure about herself. She became known as "The Wicked Witch", and feeling amused, she allowed it. It wasn't entirely inaccurate, she did still use entirely dark magic and did rituals to summon demons, among other things.
