While Melphina did not inherit her mother's otherworldly beauty, she did receive her demonic nature, guile and opportunism. She was greatly favored in contrast to her sister Enoch, but this didn't stop her from feeling envious and inferior due to the latter being blessed with their mother's infamous mane. This lack of self-worth manifested in unpredictable aggression and an unending need to prove herself as better than her sister. Such a temperament was unflattering in the eyes of Lolixis and both daughters were cast from the deadlands once they were fit to be independent. Demons were hardly the gold standard for parenthood, after all.

Melphina maintained a territory neighboring her mother's, just far enough to curb the succubus' ire. The landscape, while just as dead, lacks the oppressive ethereal energy that comes with the entrances of heaven and hell. Her empty territory is vast and she often encroaches on other biomes to sustain herself as she does not interfere with her mother's targets. Due to the scarcity of food, she will consume both the flesh and soul of her prey, wasting nothing.
