Makalo, a large, experienced lion, discovered Bassirou huddled beneath a thorny acacia tree, his eyes wide with fear and exhaustion. Instead of aggression, Makalo showed unexpected kindness. He sensed the cub's vulnerability and recognized the inherent loneliness in his wide, pleading eyes. The Agni Kai Pride, initially hesitant, eventually accepted Bassirou into their pride.
