Aamina

Aamina's story is quite tragic. She was, once, a respected apprentice teacher, wise far beyond her years. However, the famine hit hard. Her mentor starved, and it became her responsibility to care for many orphaned cubs. While she did her best, and received many scars and ailments in return, every cub inevitably passed away. It was then that she exiled herself from her pride and took to the solitary life of wandering. Some time later, Hakizimana showed interest in her after meeting her in the savannah. She wasn't sure why- he already had many beautiful lionesses, and she was scarred and in poor health, however his persistence was incredible. Eventually, she gave in, vowing to herself that she would never fail in her duties again.

Aamina is riddled with scars from a past life she longs to forget. On her cheek, she received a scar while defending some young cubs from a cobra. On her tail, from defending herself against a starved hyena. She does not seem to take any pride in them, however glances of respect from others, such as Danai, seem to show that there may be differing opinions...
